Pakistan Ceasefire Breach LIVE: India and Pakistan Indian and Pakistani forces stopped fighting on Saturday, after three days of intense fighting. The talks were facilitated by the US. For days, tensions between India and Pakistan had been building. On his Truth Social platform, US President Donald Trump said that after a night of talks, both countries had agreed to end the fighting. Each country has also agreed to hold official talks with the other on May 12 at noon. Later, the truce was announced by both the Ministry of External Affairs and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The truce began on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 5 p.m. (IST). Blasts were heard in Jammu city, and projectiles were seen in the sky hours after India and Pakistan agreed to stop shooting. In Srinagar, people also heard gunshots and multiple explosions. In Udhampur, the power went out for the third day in a row, leaving the city in the dark.

In Jammu city, on Saturday night, late at night, people see weapons in the sky. There was also shelling in Akhnoor, Udhampur. Barmer, Rajasthan, also heard air raid sounds.

Up to now, there has been a total shutdown in Udhampur, Srinagar, Moga, Pathankot, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Ferozepur, Patiala, Ambala, and the Vaishno Devi Temple.

Earlier today, India and Pakistan agreed to stop all military actions on land and in the air at 5 p.m. today. They agreed to stop firing and other military activities.

Ceasefire Explained

After the issue is mediated by a third party, all parties involved in a fight come to the conclusion that they will cease the use of weapons and resume shooting their guns.

According to FS Vikram Misri, the initial escalation started with the strikes that took place in Pahalgam on April 22. These attacks resulted in the deaths of 26 persons, the majority of whom were tourists.

In his message, he emphasized that both nations had reached an understanding to implement a ‘FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE,’ highlighting the urgency and significance of the accord in easing long-standing regional tensions

Ajit Doval In Talks with Chinese FM as Pakistan Violates Ceasefire

Pakistan broke the truce, and Ajit Doval, who is the National Security Advisor, talked to Wang Yi, who is the Chinese Foreign Minister. Doval said that the terrorist attack in Pahalgam had killed a lot of Indian soldiers and that India needed to do something to fight terrorism. He made it clear that India does not want to go to war.

The Chinese Minister said that he hoped both sides would stay cool and show restraint, work out their differences through talks and consultations, and stop things from getting worse.

Drone Activity Continues as Uri, Poonch, Rajouri Remain Silent

According to Mint: Certain locations, such as certain regions of Kashmir and Jammu, as well as the front lines of Punjab, have been the target of drone activity, mostly surveillance drones. In contrast to the intense artillery barrage that has been occurring over the past few days, the lines of communication like Uri, Tangdhar, Keran, Nowgam, Gurez, and huge portions of Rajouri and Poonch have been relatively quiet, according to sources within the defence sector.

Drones are no longer being deployed because the problem has been resolved and is now under control. Additionally, the sources stated that the issue is being very carefully monitored.
